I find it amusing that there are still folks who haven't discovered the countless opportunities to collect elsewhere for free and who continue to bemoan the loss of boards for download here or closure of GDP.

I know what you mean - being older, it was easy for me to revert to old-fashioned trading again. I found the archive late in the game (had dial-up), so I rebounded, quickly setting up trading relationships and making new friends.

I'd like to know the general age of the major complainers - are they too young to understand how to set up trading by mail? Do they not want to be bothered? If they truly want to remain anonymous, then bitorrent sites should be abhorrent to them - easy to track downloads right to their own PC.

C'mon folks, deadheads are supposed to use their ingenuity and roll with the punches! That's how deadheads survived on tour! Falafal, anyone?

Hi all! New here! I wanted to write. I sat down and read all these posts in a row, and it's obvious if you take a step back and see we're all really feeling the same thing. Nerous as hell about what Rhino getting involved is really going to mean. And only time will tell. There really is one at fault here...this was just a matter of time. The way I see it, what's the major difference now compared to years ago when the boys were younger?? No, not Jerry being alive, or them on tour....they are getting up there in years, and they know they won't live forever...they have wives, teenage and grown children, a lot of people that are probably influencing their decisions. It isn't just the 4 of them anymore, but their families as well. Maybe no one else agrees with my theory, but I think this may have something to do with a lot of the decisions lately...even a little bit. Any of you that are married will admit...how many times do you make a decision without talking it over with your spouse? There is no way for us to know the opinions of the wives and kids, and how much that has to do with it. Just a thought.

One thing I do want to say, even though it's been said before, is that there are LOTS of sites all over the internet with tons of people trading shows, willing to do BnP's, Vines, etc. A lot of the music is already out there, and the one thing about Deadheads is that we're kind, and know how to share. :) If you are new to the Dead and are disappointed now because you can't Download off the Archive, get in touch with me and I'll help you find the tunes.

As for Rhino and what this is going to mean now...lets hold our breaths together and hope!
